THANKS FOR HELPING ST.JUDE CHILDRENS HOSPITAL !! Well if you have been following the St.Jude ride you know that we did not have the best weather for the weekend of the ride. We had to use our scheduled rain date of Sunday April 23rd. Some of us went up to the trail site Saturday night to camp out and get a head start on setting up the tents and marking the trails . The weather was wonderful untill Sunday morning after we had everything set up ..around 10AM.. we had a thunderstorm(downpour) which I believe scared alot of riders away. Well the sky cleared up around 10:30 the sun came out and the ride went on!!!!! We had about 30 riders that stuck it out w/ us through the rain and mud. Thanks to all of you!! As it turned out we did have a wonderful ride with blue sky's above us!! When we made it back to camp there was a hot lunch of hamburgers hotdog's , baked beans , potato chip's, and homebaked cookies& goodies !!

Some of you that did not ride even came up just to turn in your donations and to say HI and have some lunch!! Rocky Top is very proud to say that with everyones hard work and with the so-so weather... we raised $9531.00 plus a corporate donation from Wal-mart in Hagerstown MD for $1000 bringing the total (SO FAR)to ..$10,531.00!!!!!!! WE STILL HAVE DONATIONS BEING TURNED IN AS OF 5/1. THE FINAL AMOUNT WILL BE LISTED SOON!
